Welcoming the new freshmen class is a key priority for GW Hillel each year. We aim to make every new student on campus feel a sense of warmth & welcome, knowing how much we value their presence in our community.
If you’re new to campus, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a coffee date and think through how you want your four years to look on campus.
The easiest way to stay connected to the wider GW Hillel community & Jewish Life at GW is by following us online & signing up for our student weekly e-mails.
Hillel’s freshman early move-in program – an introduction to GW and Jewish life on campus.
GW Hillel’s LaunchPad DC offers incoming freshmen a unique opportunity to start one’s experience with Jewish Life at GW. Students explore DC with upperclassmen while connecting with their new freshmen community. From entering the halls of power at the Supreme Court and the Capitol, to enjoying a night at Nationals Park, the two day experience offers students the chance to create new friendships and discover a glimpse of what DC can offer them in the coming years.
LaunchPad participants arrive for move-in on Wednesday August 23rd. Following an optional welcome gathering the night of the 23rd, the full program runs from Thursday August 24th through Friday August 25th.
Registration for LaunchPad DC 2017 is now open through July 4th, 2017 (or when all spots have been filled). Please note that should your plans change, you must cancel by July 16th, 2017.
Planning on being on campus for an upcoming visit, prior to the start of the school year? We’d love to see you! Feel free to stop by the Hillel building at 2101 F St. or set-up a time to connect with Adena.
