Our parents and families are integral partners in fulfilling our mission of inspiring every Jewish student to make an enduring commitment to Jewish life. Our staff and student leadership are dedicated to taking care of your child’s needs in whatever way they manifest – from help with choosing courses during freshman year to providing seniors life skills prior to graduating; from holidays meals to offering counseling during challenging times. And every year we invite parents to join us for Colonials Weekend, to get a small taste of the community your child experiences on a daily basis.
But we can only do it together – with you support today we can continue to provide a warm and nurturing environment, free Shabbat dinner every week, and a vibrant community for your child. We thank you for your generous support!
Partnering Together: The Jewish Parents Association
A great way for parents to say informed and support Jewish life at GW is by joining the Jewish Parents Association (JPA) – see form below. It’s a great way to ensure that your child gets connected to Jewish life. And annual membership comes with its perks – our staff is ready to take your child out 1-on-1 for coffee to hear their story and start the relationship. Your student will also receive a free Jewish George t-shirt, and regular e-mails about Hillel events. BUT WAIT! That’s not all! Your student will receive delicious chicken soup, delivered to his or her door, when he or she isn’t feeling great.
Through a special arrangement with the university a contribution to GWU can be designated for use at Hillel and membership in the JPA. When contributing directly to the university, or if you are joining the Luther Rice Society, just put “for GW Hillel” in the memo line of a check or “other” line on the online form. Please let us know if you contribute via the university so we can follow-up and make sure we can thank you appropriately.
