Hillel Zand

President

I am both humbled and thrilled to be leading the Jewish Students Association for the 2017-2018 school year, and am already brainstorming of ways we as a community can continue to grow and become more vibrant. In addition to being my name, Hillel has also been my home-away-from home at GW and I can’t wait to help other GW students make it their home and find their place in the Jewish community on campus.

Sarah Cassius

Head of Engagement

I am so unbelievably excited to take on the role of Head of Engagement this year! As a uGeW intern last year, I learned that two of my favorite things in the world are engaging with amazing people on campus and creating programming that fosters a spirited and tight-knit Jewish community. I can’t wait to help others do the same.

I want to give every project the resources it needs to thrive! I look forward to hearing about your ideas and helping you turn them into successes.

Liora Bernstein

Shabbat Visionary

I’m excited to take on the role of Shabbat Visionary because I want to create a warm and inviting Shabbat experience for the entire GW community. I look forward to improving upon the Shabbat structure that Hillel already has in place by inviting creative and new ways to imagine and reshape our Shabbat experience on campus. If you have ideas, I’d love to hear them!

Since my freshman year, GW Hillel has felt like a home away from home. I’m excited to be able to use the latest data and engagement strategy to further enhance our welcoming and warm community while bringing more colonials through our doors!

Immersive Experience Chair

I am extremely excited to be your Immersive Experience chair for the 2017-2018 school year. I’m looking forward to creating fun and meaningful experiences, whether it be over a break from school (Winter/Spring Break), or quick weekend away opportunity, as well as work as a key partner in planning GW Hillel’s Launchpad Program for the incoming class of 2021. I am extraordinally thrilled to be your chair and create these immersive opportunities for the GW Hillel community.
