We’re thrilled to announce new leadership roles open now!

  • Help shape vision for 3 community Shabbats per month, working towards building a wide, open, relevant Shabbat space for the entire GW community
  • Recruit and manage a student team invested in Shabbat; lead weekly meetings to cultivate warm Shabbat culture, identify special events (speakers, co-sponsorships, unique spaces, etc), and consider any unique Shabbat initiatives to bring to campus; lead the team in thinking of Shabbat as a valuable break from the craze of GW life
  • Work closely with Hillel staff member and Operations team on logistics needed for each Shabbat event and initiative
  • Attend meetings with wider Hillel leadership community to forge strong connections and understand student needs
  • Charged with learning the ins and outs of maintaining a full student budget for GW Hillel
  • Assist the VP of Operations in corresponding with SA Finance and Hillel Executive Director; manage space,financial, and back-end needs for all Jewish student orgs running out of Hillel
  • Make a commitment to attend as many Hillel events as feasible, acting as a welcoming force for others
  • Attend meetings with Hillel staff mentors and attend meetings with wider Hillelleadership community to forge strong connections and understand student needs
  • Set shared engagement goals with Hillel staff mentor
  • Work in partnership with VP of Operations to learn all aspects of operations for long-term success
  • Charged with managing and organizing the Challah Chomies program; including weekly dough making, braiding, and marketing of sales.
  • Build out a board and committee structure to assist in all events and preparations.
  • Work with board and committee to engage the GW Jewish community in a new, hands-on way.
  • Take on one key issue of importance to you to build out tzedek programming (examples include education policy, women’s equality, environmentalism, etc.)
  • Spend first part of the program walking through the Design Thinking process to create initiatives that engage students at GW.
  • Work with a small cohort on a weekly basis to challenge one another to think bigger and broader about ways to serve.
